A prestigious 3-day conference that aims to simulate dialogue between EU and ASEAN member states, the EU-ASEAN Youth Diplomats Programme aims to mark a momentous milestone of 45 years EU-ASEAN relations as part of the Road to 45 Programme. The event aims to give youths the opportunity to simulate as heads of governments of EU and ASEAN member states and engage in multilateral dialogue on issues that affects us today.

The highlight of the EU-ASEAN Youth Diplomats Programme is the EU-ASEAN Youth Summit, which will consist of selected youths across Malaysia, representing 27 EU countries and 10 ASEAN countries, respectively. Participants will discuss issues concerning both the European Union and ASEAN, which shall be disclosed to the participants at a later date. The EU-ASEAN Youth Summit will be conducted in the Model United Nations (MUN) format, with its own unique Rules of Procedure. Before the Summit, participants will be trained on the basics of policy drafting, public speaking and research skills on foreign policy to prepare them for the topic at hand.
